The arithmetic is unforgiving.
December 2025 marked the structural realignment of the transatlantic security architecture. The total withdrawal of American material allocations has created a vacuum that Europe cannot fill. The math fails.
Continental military aid surged by sixty-seven percent, yet the aggregate volume remains insufficient to sustain high-intensity conventional deterrence. The burden is asymmetrical. Northern Europe provides thirty-six percent of military aid despite representing only eight percent of the tracked GDP. Meanwhile, Southern and Eastern European contributions have effectively collapsed, with Eastern European aid plummeting from seventeen percent in 2022 to just two percent in 2025.

While technological innovation loops compress, the Russian objective has shifted from military breakthrough to state disruption.
The Kremlin is executing a strategy of cold extermination: the Kholodomor.
By January 2026, sixty to seventy percent of Ukraine’s total power generation capacity was permanently lost. The campaign of societal exhaustion now targets municipal water, sewage, and heating networks to render urban centers unlivable.
